ELD Lead Information

ELD Role and Expectations:

  • A representative from each school will take on the role of ELD (English Language Development) Lead. The responsibilities of the ELD Lead include: 
    • Identifying your school's Multilingual Learners
    • Being an ELD Task Force Member
    • Aiding in ELLevation Task Management & Title III Compliance
    • Being a Resource to Staff & helping build capacity
    • Networking with other ELD Leads & Language Teacher Specialists

  • IMPORTANT: Parents can no longer opt out of the WIDA test-Students may opt out, but parents cannot opt them out. It is part of the student's civil right to test each year.
