Language & Culture Services provides administrative services related to the following programs: English as a second language (ESL); ESL Endorsement; translation services; and provide consultations for potential Special Education referrals.
We ensure that schools' climate and culture is fostered through education, advocacy, and training so that the schools and community can be engaged, participate, and support student success and learning.

The mission of Language & Culture Services (LCS) is to provide culture and language support to schools, families, and communities of diverse backgrounds.
Jordan School District currently serves 6,462 multilingual students, with 1,231 of those students being Newcomers (in their first 3 years in the U.S.). Our students represent 80 countries, speak over 56 languages, and bring a world of knowledge to our classrooms. -March, 2026 data
LCS operates under law in accordance to Title III and the Civil Rights acts of 1964:
The primary purpose of Title III is to help students learning English attain English proficiency and achieve state academic standards. This involves funding programs that provide language instruction and related services. These services include but are not limited to use for translation and interpretation services.
